DIVISIONS

There are 14 Divisions. Vaulters will be placed in one of the following Divisions based on heights entered and Division eligibility:

To accommodate those needing longer runs, there will be two 144’ custom built runways. Bring plenty of poles as these runways are fast. Multiple pits will be placed on the coliseum main floor. The number of pits will vary depending on the number of entrants. TXE will not keep you waiting. Each runway will be designated for a particular Division. If a Division has an over abundance of entrants then multiple runways and pits will be utilized to expedite the competition. TXE does not want to have runways too crowded where you cannot get a sufficient warm-up, nor do we want you sitting around waiting. The Main Arena area will be limited to TXE Staff, Coaches and Athletes only.

AREA ATTRACTIONS

Besides being located in the Heart of Texas, there are nearby attractions you do not want to miss.

Salado is 8.92 miles to the south on I35 and is a lively marketplace with over 60 shops and artists galleries. If you love antiques there are many shops for you to visit. Whether you’re in the mood for fine art, antiques, pottery, crafts, collectibles, Americana, Southwest or south-of-the-border décor, handcrafted furniture, trendy or exclusive fashions, or gourmet foods and wines, you’ll find something you love just strolling our downtown area. Salado is also home of the Historic and Legendary “Stage Coach Inn” where Billy The Kid once feed his entire Gang! www.salado.com

Ft Hood is 23 miles west on Hwy 190 and is the largest Active Duty military post in the US and is home to the 1st Armored Division. The 1st Armored Division and 4th ID Museums are awesome for those wanting to enjoy some military history. Fort Hood covers a total of 340-square miles and supports multiple units, a corps headquarters and a robust mobilization mission. Fort Hood also meets the training and support requirements for many smaller units and organizations, thus maintaining a vital defense force for the United States of America.

Fort Hood rests in the beautiful 'hill and lake' country of Central Texas between Killeen and Copperas Cove and is approximately 60 miles north of the capital city of Austin, 50 miles south of Waco, 160 miles south of Dallas, and 150 miles north of San Antonio. www.hood.army.mil
